Our Classes
Progression Step 1
Welcome to the Nursery and Reception class web page.
There are lovely children in our class. We love learning through play, exploring and having fun!
Summer Term - This term, our theme is ‘Travel.’
General Information:
Physical Education: We have two PE sessions each week (Monday and Wednesday). Your child will need to wear a T-shirt, shorts or
joggers and trainers.
Milk and Fruit: We provide children with milk daily but we kindly ask you to provide a fruit and a snack for your child alongside their packed
lunch box. We have two break times to enjoy our fruit and snack every day, morning break and afternoon break.
Progression Step 2
Welcome to Progression Step 2’s web page.
We love learning by playing, discovering, reading, watching videos, speaking, writing, playing games and creating. There are plenty of
laughs in our lessons because our teachers are great and learning is a lot of fun!
We are a small class which means we get a lot of personal attention from the teachers who understand our needs and develop our talents
in interesting ways.
We love working together in pairs and groups as well as independently. We have opportunities to work with the older and younger children
when the activities benefit everyone, such as the Ceramics workshop and the Cooking competition for the Urdd Eisteddfod. We went on
fun trips together this year, such as the cinema outing to see 'Wonka' and the visit to London's Transport Museum.
Our theme this term is 'Travel'.

Seesaw
Seesaw is a learning experience platform that is trusted and loved by 1.4 million educators, pupils
and families in the United Kingdom. Seesaw offers a suite of award-winning instructional tools,
teaching resources, family engagement tools and curricula for teachers to deliver joyful, inclusive
instruction.
Through interactive lessons, digital portfolios and two-way communication features, Seesaw keeps
everyone in the learning loop by providing continuous visibility into the pupil’s learning experience.
At London Welsh School, we will continue to develop the use of the Seesaw platform as a window for parents to be more involved in their
child’s learning journey: the class teacher can share photographs, activities, spelling lists, homework tasks etc through this platform and
Seesaw also enables the child to share their own content with their teacher or class, thus enhancing their educational experience and
digital competency.
